Ruins of a town house located in the south in Nijo Castle. It was built at the Edo period and used as lodgings of the daimyos who do not have a mansion in Kyoto. Although appearance is an ordinary town house, the lifting stairs for preventing an enemy's invasion, dropping stairs, the hiding place for soldiers made to look like the lighting of a ceiling are surprised by the skill of a mechanism. Inspection is an important point reservation system.
