Kuukai's pupil founds in early stages of the Heian period. Since a restorer and the principal image were made into Amitabha behind and it considered as the exercise hall of a paradise Buddhist invocation, it came to be called Eikan-do. It is formally called Zenrin-ji. Collateral Amitabha of the principal image is a new figure which looks back upon back over his shoulder.
