River Oi which flows while projecting Arashiyama famous as a famous place of autumnal leaves in autumn, cherry blossom in spring on the water surface. It seems that Togetsu-kyo is built over the River Oi, and the beauty of Arashiyama is backed up further. Owing to, it is said for Kameyama Tenno to have named it Togetsu-kyo that it is alike so that the moon may cross.
