| "Kamaburo" (kiln bath) was a method of taking a bath for healthy maintenance.
About 1300 years ago,In Hourai age.In rebellion of Jinshin.Ohamano-prince(next Emperor Tenmu) who receives flow arrow to back in Yase(八瀬).It is told that "Kamaburo" was presented by the villager to heal his wound. It is told that the origin of the name of a place of Yase(in Japanese,Ya:Arrow Se:Back) of Rakuhoku(洛北) might be also so.This is described also in many reference and came to be presupposed that our familiar Japanese wrapping cloth, a yukata, etc. transmit the matting used when all used "Kamaburo" from that which coiled round the body, and are left behind. |
