When a Shinto shrine was founded in 1895 (Meiji 28), the religious
association was organized by the citizen for preservation of the grand festival
of Heian Jingu, and a building, and Jidai Festival started as a commemoration
enterprise. It goes back from the Meiji Restoration to a calendar time a total,
and customs are reproduced one by one, 18 sequences and 2,000 attendants are reached
and the length of a procession has amounted to 2km now.
